Our diverse opportunities comprise of 8 of the 15 occupations, with professions ranging from Radiographers to Occupational Therapists in both registrants and support roles. Development

We are dedicated to supporting your growth, career ambitions and lifelong learning. Alongside a variety of in-house development programmes, we also provide opportunities to pursue professional education courses up to MSc level. As an AHP, you’ll be encouraged to expand your role across the four pillars of practice: clinical expertise, leadership, education and research.

Preceptorship

The move from student to Newly Qualified AHP, is a particularly crucial stage in your journey to becoming an experienced and confident practitioner. We know that it can feel challenging and overwhelming at times, which is why we offer all the support and opportunities you need to fulfil your potential, through our multi-disciplinary 12-month Preceptorship Programme. In addition to the programme, you will have the opportunity to complete a funded level 7 module in Preceptorship for Healthcare Practice with the University of Gloucestershire.

Professional
AHP Advocates

We have Professional AHP Advocates (PAA’s) who are trained to support the mental health and wellbeing of fellow AHP’s, advise on education and career development opportunities and promote improvements to quality and patient care. There are opportunities to train as a professional advocate by completing a level 7 module.

AHP Support Workers

Learn about a career as a AHP Support Worker, which has a range of opportunities to help you develop your career including, Apprenticeship pathways that can lead to becoming an AHP registered professional.

Apprenticeships

Many of our departments (Radiotherapy, Dietetics, Theatres and Therapies) now offer apprenticeships programmes across a range of levels, so you can earn an apprentice’s salary whilst you are training. We are very keen on ‘growing our own’ staff and offering training and development opportunities for staff to progress to the next level.
