A career in Healthcare Science offers rewarding opportunities to work with and support multidisciplinary teams in delivering outstanding patient care. Healthcare Scientists are involved in 80% of all patient diagnostics and encompass a diverse range of disciplines including Pathology, Medical Physics and Engineering and Physiological Science. We offer a range of in-house development programmes as well as opportunities to undertake professional education programmes. A number of our departments are accredited to the National School of Healthcare Science for the delivery of scientist training schemes at introductory and advanced levels.

The move from trainee to Newly Qualified Healthcare Scientist is a particularly crucial stage in your journey to becoming an experienced practitioner and we know that it can feel challenging and overwhelming. That’s why we offer all the support and opportunities you need to fulfil your potential, through our multi-disciplinary 12-month Preceptorship Programme.
