After previously working as a Project Manager in the private sector and having my children I became self-employed. However, I knew that my passion lay with being part of a team and being surrounded by people. After attending the birth of my nephew, I had that light bulb moment and as cliche as it may sound, I knew I’d found my forever role.
I started as an Healthcare Support Worker just five months before the pandemic started, so hit the ground running, and alongside this I undertook an access course at the local college and then continued my studies at university. I’ve now been qualified for six months and have never once regretted making such a life changing move to become a Midwife. It’s never too late to make the change and make a difference in people’s lives.
