As I reflect on my 23-year tenure at Gloucestershire Hospitals, my first professional role in the UK as a Nurse, I’ve had a great experience. The support system here, particularly for career opportunities and development has been nothing short of exemplary.
I am both happy and proud to recount that I was the first Asian Matron at Gloucestershire Hospitals. This position not only allowed me to influence others but also enabled me to demonstrate that equal opportunities exist for minorities within our community. In my role as Matron, I am focused on guiding, supporting, and educating others. Working collaboratively with my team, we strive for open and honest communication, ensuring that our team is both knowledgeable and compassionate.
