I have worked for the NHS for almost 10 years, having worked the majority of that in an alternative Trust. Recently joining Gloucestershire Hospitals was daunting and initially overwhelming however the staff have been wonderful, kind and compassionate towards me.
I have been welcomed with open arms and supported by all staff members regardless of their role. During the last 10 years I have struggled to understand what speciality I wanted to eventually specialise in. The NHS has given me the flexibility to work in a variety of areas such as Acute Medicine, Trauma, Intensive care, Infection Control and now Gynaecology. I now feel like I am where I belong. The NHS is the only place I want to work and feels like my home from home.
