I began my Apprenticeship at 18 after completing my A levels with Gloucestershire Hospitals in the Digital Education Team, where I had the opportunity to develop eLearning modules, training videos, and digital educational content. I immediately enjoyed the work and was excited to start my career in such a rewarding organisation. After 12 months I was excited to win the ‘Apprentice of the Year’ award at both the Staff Awards and the Gloucestershire Apprenticeship Awards for the public sector.

Over the next five years, I continued to grow within the team, taking on new challenges and expanding my skills. I spent six months working alongside the communications team and the Trust’s graphic designer, which allowed me to broaden my expertise and collaborate across different departments. During this time, I also undertook leadership training, which marked the beginning of my journey toward leading a service.

In 2023, I was thrilled to be appointed as the Trust’s Moving and Handling Lead, where I would manage the Corporate Education team. This team is responsible for delivering essential training, including Trust Induction, Conflict Resolution, and Moving and Handling courses. In this role, I feel privileged to work alongside my dedicated team to provide the best education and support for staff, helping them look after themselves and their patients. I am deeply passionate about delivering the best service possible and supporting both staff and patients in every way we can.
