I chose nursing as my career because I have always enjoyed helping people to have the best quality of life. My passion also is about providing exceptional care to the vulnerable to support their recovery and nursing allows me to achieve this holistically. I began working within the Frailty Assessment Unit as a result of COVID-19 and within this ward, we care for the elderly by minimising their risk of re-hospitalisation. I have since progressed to becoming a Sister within this ward. I particularly enjoy this role as it enables me to make an impact on the lives of the elderly patients.
I am incredibly proud of my achievements to date and that they have been acknowledged. My first manager Alison Hunt was my role model, she set a positive foundation into my nursing career and I will forever be grateful that we were connected.
